My Ideal House is under construction! At the time of going to print, the concrete piering was complete and the slab was down. What began as a design competition run by H&G and Mirvac to find a new blueprint for the Australian family home is now taking shape and the winning design, by Sydney architect Madeleine Blanchfield, is rising from the ground in a new community south-west of Sydney. Our house is now in the hands of Mirvac’s experienced build team, who spoke to H&G about their individual roles and responsibilities on this unique project.
