Mountain high

I couldn’t agree more with Harvey Grennan about the attractions of western Canada (Peak Experience, September). We had a wonderful time on our own Canadian trip by coach, train and ship, and the Rocky Mountaineer was a highlight. But we weren’t “poor souls”, as Harvey jokes, downstairs in Silverleaf Service. Our seats were so comfortable that it was a pleasure to have meals and drinks served there, and we had a wonderful crew looking after us. In fact, our carriage was so delighted with the service, we decided to hold a public thankyou for the staff near the end of our journey.
