Using Axon vertical cladding, Darren and Natalie have brought their dream home beautifully to life.

Darren and Natalie Hunt were certain about how they wanted their home to look: it had to have a modern, industrial style that would stand up to the harsh climate of North Queensland. Because the pair own a construction company they know just about everything there is to know about the building process. So after five years of meticulous planning they launched into their own build in Bundaberg, using Axon ™ vertical cladding in varying widths, with HardieFlex ™ and Axent ™ Trim as the star features of their home’s design. It was these materials that would deliver them the clean lines and angles they were so keen on to create a unique style. “We both love texture and we wanted to use different materials to achieve the industrial look we were after,” says Darren. When you’re building in coastal areas, selecting the right materials is a critical part of the design process. Axon’s cement composite boards are durable and can stand up to the harsh coastal climate. “We wanted to live as close as we could to the ocean,” says Natalie. “Choosing Axon means our home will retain its good looks for longer.” The end result is a new home the family adores and that neighbours and friends can’t help commenting on.

“Seeing our home come to life was something very special,” says Darren.
