MY FAVOURITE THINGS
Stool A retro piece with new upholstery in Groundworks ‘Chengtudoor Emb’ fabric from Elliott Clarke. Blue
armchair A divine vintage chair I found in an antique store in Miami, Florida. It’s covered in Harlequin ‘Folia Velvets’ from Domestic Textiles.
Artworks At left is Early Autumn by Joerg Dressler. On the right is a 1970s abstract by Robert Lawson. Lamp Another treasure I picked up in Florida.
Pig A life-size piggy bank by Harry Allen for Areaware. Available in Australia from Until. Sofa Chosen for its classic shape and upholstered in Groundworks ‘Bengal Bazaar’ from Elliott Clarke. Cushions on
sofa Custom made by Coco’s Soft Furnishings in a selection of beautiful Balinese and Sri Lankan fabrics. Rug An antique from Uzbekistan. It ties everything together perfectly.
MY FAVOURITE HAUNTS
What do you love about your
suburb? The great thing about the inner west is that new cafes and restaurants are constantly popping up. Current favourites are Hartsyard (contemporary American fare) or Russo & Russo (rustic Italian) for dinner, cheese and wine at The Stinking Bishops or just drinks at The Gretz or Misfits.
Favourite shops? When I’m in need of retail therapy,
I tend to scour local vintage stores, of which there are many. bmid.com.au
