And exhale... Who would have thought that we would ever need such a reminder? After not having a break in 2020, I surely did! As I headed down to the coast with my husband, I grabbed a copy of the January issue, a small indulgence which has now become a necessity. Not just a magazine but a holiday within itself; a time to plan, relax and dream. A time to exhale and remember that I am safe and fortunate to be in my home, in this great country and that life continues. Lin Sinclair, Tamworth, NSW

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

I’m a newcomer to H&G and I’m kicking myself that I didn’t discover it sooner. I squeal with delight as I turn the pages, each one packed with fresh, fun and colourful ideas that I’d like to incorporate into my own home. I’ve earmarked almost every page! As a first-time mum, sleepdeprived and surviving on sugar and coffee, you, my lovely H&G, are my tall glass of wine at the end of the day. I think you could call me a certified groupie. Thanks for all the inspiration.

LOOKING AHEAD

You could say that I’m a dreamer... When I pick up a copy of Australian House & Garden that’s exactly what I do, I dream! As I read the articles and pore over the images, I dream of one day moving into my forever home and styling it with all the beautiful things

I see. The February issue, ‘The Ultimate Family Home’, has quite the wow factor. The featured homes were just incredible, with breathtaking design and decorating palettes. I hope that someday I can recreate these looks in my own home. Corinne Wyner, Mill Park, Victoria

THE TIME IS NOW

Every issue of H&G I have bought over the years was duly saved for the ‘one day’ renovation. That renovation recently got underway, and I was thrilled to be able to pull together my moodboard from all my favourites clipped from the pages of H&G. I couldn’t have done it without you. GET OUT OF TOWN

Devouring the many gorgeous stories in the March issue of H&G, I was especially pleased to see ‘Hooked On Classics’, the feature about automotive upholsterer Kira Jurado from Bargo, south-west of Sydney. Kira is so right when she says the semi-rural region is idyllic. This region, – near where I live – boasts botanic gardens at Mount Annan, is close to the charming Southern Highlands and the beautiful Dharawal National Park. Lots to explore in 2021!
