SANTA CRUZ NOMAD
This is the fourth generation Nomad and Santa Cruz admit to pushing the boundaries with each new version, trying to discover just how DH a bike can be and still remain usable on most trails. Geometry is longer and lower-slung than ever to ensure maximum stability and there is also a dramatic shift to the lower-link mounted shock configuration, that is more similar to that of the V10 downhill bike.
The frame and shock configuration creates a shock rate that’s supportive and progressive - an ideal scenario for rough terrain.
There’s also a flip-chip on the link - the high setting sets the bike up for added versatility, while the low setting slackens it out to near-DH levels. The new Nomad certainly looks unique and the design works well with coil shocks, although it can also be used with lighter air units depending on your preference.
