GO MAD FOR XCO

After doing a bang up job in 2016, Mackay and District Mountain Bike Club (MADMTBC) are hosting the 2017 Queensland State XCO titles. We visited Mackay last year and the trail system they have built at Rowallan Park is top-shelf, and it’s probably only a matter of time until we see a national XCO race up there. And once work on Kinchant Dam is finished, expect a national level downhill race to visit as well.

The event falls on the October long weekend. Head up Saturday 30th September, race on Sunday, relax on Monday before heading home. Rowallan Park is close to town, and there is parking and cabin accommodation available onsite. The Windmill Motel, Quest Apartments and Paradise Lodge are offering discounted accommodation for racers.
