1972 Ford Falcon XA GT-HO Phase IV in Calypso Green

-

The only Calypso Green Ford Falcon XA GT-HO Phase IV produced by Ford escaped the public eye for decades. This is the rarest Australian muscle car ever produced. The sole production of the Phase IV, as a retail order and not as dealer stock, was ordered by ‘Jack Brabham Ford’ on May 15, 1972, for the late Sir Jack himself, given a dyno tune, but then sold on. Now Classic Carlectables are pleased to further expose this little known piece of Australian motoring history and to celebrate its 40-year history by immortalising it in diecast and plastic in the form of this equally special 1:18 scale model. Under the bonnet, the engine and surrounding bay have an outstanding level of detail, including the graphics you would expect to see on the real car. While the interior shows off the dash instrumentation, fabric seat belts and, unique to the Phase IV, the GT-HO badge on the sports console.
