Super ‘Stangs
Rob
Herrod is taking Ford Mustang to a new level in Australia. The long-time leader of Ford performance work in Australia, who once worked closely with the late Howard Marsden, has prepared a 499-kiloWatt ’Stang to compete with the hottest Holdens from HSV.
Herrod Performance Mustangs will be equipped with a range of factory-approved equipment sourced from Ford Performance in the USA, starting with a supercharger package to extra more go.
The cars will be priced from $75,000, with two choices for buyers.
Herrod has been a Ford Performance parts dealer for three years and has been working for nearly that long on his Mustang project, which includes full warranty cover.
Apart from the supercharged engine, the cars will come with a stronger gearbox, differential and axles, as well as firmer suspension, bigger alloy wheels and wider tyres.
Full details will be available shortly after this issue of AMC hits the newsagents.
