Lester Smerdon ‘Highway Patrol’ VL

Built in 1989 to replace Smerdon’s former VK Group A Commodore, the all-yellow Holden popped up and raced at Bathurst in 1989 with Smerdon, Marty Turpin and Gary Hinton and again in 1990 with Smerdon and Graham Jonsson steering. It was sold off and lived on, racing in Group A Historic competition in the hands of Adrian Allisey. It is now retained by a private collector in Victoria.
