Ford XA Falcon RPO83 Hardtop in Yellow Fire

-

An American friend of mine who edits a magazine over there I do some work for told me the XA-XC Falcon coupes were ‘ugly’. Hmph. I guess it’s in the eye of the beholder. I love them. They look tough, as long as you’ve got some fat rear wheels to ll those enormous guards. Which, sadly this car does not. It’s got steel 12-slots instead – the basics only for this one. But then that’s how they came. The 1:18 scale model features include XA sports steering wheel, full dash instrumentation and components. Argent painted steel 12 slot rims with GT centres are an outstanding feature on this model with their chrome trim rings together with the red-wall tyres. Sitting on top of the 351 Cleveland V8 is the air cleaner with high performance sticker. The bonnet hinges are etched metal for realism and smooth operation. The model has superb chassis detail with working front suspension and steering. The springs, sway-bar, wheel rims and brake discs feature nicely. Like the Mustang, there will be just 500 of this model, so it should sell out quickly, especially considering it’s the rst Falcon coupe in a couple of years. Again, we don’t have pricing or release dates yet but keep checking with your favourite retailer of at www.classicccarlectables. com.au for more detail.

This Octane Orange FPV looks the goods, doesn’t it? The colour really pops and the car itself is a good-looking thing, with the striping echoing other famous Fords of the past. This is a 1:18 scale model and it’s moulded in resin, so while there are no opening parts, the windows show a very nicely detailed interior. It’s due later this year, for $225 or so.
