Ford Cortina GT 500 in Satin Red
Ford’s Cortina GT 500 is much soughtafter these days. Not many got made and far fewer survive. It was an Australian homologation special, with the intent to win the Bathurst 500 – hence the name. And in the very capable hands of Bo Seton and
Midge Bosworth, that’s what they did. The Cortina GT 500 featured sports instrumentation dials in the centre of the dash and the new ‘Aero ow’ ventilation system. The front end of the car features the updated front grille housing the indicators in etch metal with chrome plated trim. The radiator is visible through the grille. The front chassis shows the sump, suspension, exhaust system, and brake ducts. The front wheels are even linked to the steering wheel. The chassis bears an individually numbered etched metal plate which is the edition number of your model. There will be 750 of these very nice models made, so be quick to get an order in at your favourite shop. See more at www.classiccarlectables.com.au
