Find your momentum

Sennheiser has partnered with sound artists the world over to change the way we listen.

-

Sound is an endlessly evolving medium harnessed by artists to challenge, motivate, inspire and soothe. From the latest radio hit to the most abstract ambient soundscape, sound is an integral part of our lives. Sound gives us momentum.

Now, sound artists from around the world are linking up with Sennheiser’s Momentum project in an effort to push the boundaries of how we listen. They’re challenging the way we think about sound and exposing our ears to new experiences.

Momentum is the futuristic work of Nik Nowak, whose childhood passions for ghetto blasters and the physical sensation of bass have driven him to combine wood, steel and fiberglass with the latest audio equipment to create incredible sound sculptures.

Momentum is also Imogen Heap’s revolutionary Mi.Mu gloves, which blur the boundary between musician and machine, transforming hand movements into sound. This ultimate musical evolution sees the musician become the instrument.

Closer to home, Sennheiser’s Momentum is embodied by Adelaide artist and musician Jason Sweeney. By spending his time seeking the moments of quiet that can be so elusive in our roaring cities, Jason refuses to surrender his personal momentum to the madness that surrounds him. Through the Stereopublic project he has devised a way for others to discover and share quiet spaces on their social networks, combining GPS with audio and visual snapshots, which Jason then uses to create beautiful, otherworldly compositions.

Exploring these sounds is a perfect way to reclaim your own momentum. $399, sennheiser-momentum.com,
