GOOGLE HOME IS A PIECE OF CAKE TO SET UP

1 THE HOME APP

The first step is to download the new Google Home app. This enables you to manage the Google Assistant settings associated with your Google Home. When you’ve got the app up and running, simply scan for devices and follow the on-screen commands to set up your device. You may be asked to change your language settings to US English (as Google Home isn’t officially available in the UK yet). 2 LINK YOUR MUSIC

OK, now you’ll want to get your music service linked. If you’re on Google Play Music, you’re ready to go. But for Spotify, you’ll need to link your (Premium) account. Go to the menu and choose Music, tap on Spotify and then hit Link. Sign in and you’re done. Try it by saying ‘OK Google, play GangnamStyle’. 3 START WATCHING

Google Home can control your Chromecast. Go to the menu and tap TVs and Speakers. Then hit the + button bottom-right and choose Chromecast. Sign in on the following page with your account details and try it by saying something like ‘OK Google, play John Oliver videos’.
