SMALL & POWERFUL

-

FLIC US$34.99 ($45.98), flic.io

Flic’s button is the smallest device here; you could easily lose one if you’re not careful. Thankfully, it comes with a reusable sticky backing as well as a clip that you can attach to yourself. It’s also IP44 weatherproof, so you could place it outdoors. Once you’ve created an account, setting up Flic via the app is easy – just tap the button to connect, then tap the on-screen version to assign commands to button presses. There are three button press types (single, double and long press) and, unlike the Eve, Flic acts as a toggle switch for the same button press. You can also add an unlimited number of actions on each type of press, allowing you to control loads of different devices at once. As well as controlling smart home devices, Flic can do some neat extra tricks, such as act as a click counter or help you find your phone with a button press.

VERDICT

T3 SAYS Compact, easy to set up and use. It’s relatively cheap, supports a huge range of smart home devices and can do so much more.
