WHERE TO EAT

-

Restaurante La Paloma

This beautiful, bohemian restaurant is surrounded by citrus trees and the outside seating overlooks a small but perfectly formed children’s playground so you can relax and eat while the children are entertained. Serving simple Mediterranean dishes, the vegetables and fruits are straight from its own gardens. Look out for the seafood risotto and homemade pasta. There’s a good selection of vegan dishes and desserts too, all at mid-range prices. Mains from around £9. palomaibiza.com.

Chiringuito de Aguas Blancas

This beach shack sells good-value salads, sandwiches and smoothies set to a reggae soundtrack. It overlooks an official nudist beach although there are plenty of shortand bikini-clad beach-goers too, so no need to strip if you don’t want to. Cash only.

Cala Salada

Stop off at Cala Salada for huge pans of paella and fanastic seafood. They also do sandwiches and burgers at lunch. Popular with locals, it’s a traditional restaurant with great views and reasonable prices. We reached the beach by car and walking off-season (the car park is right by beach) but in high season, take a bus or water taxi or arrive early to find a parking space.

El Chiringuito

This chic restaurant is situated on a sandy beach so it’s the perfect spot for children to play when they’ve finished their meals. The cocktails are a work of art and the drinks options seem almost endless. Try the whole sea bream cooked on a herb-infused wood-fired grill for something special. There’s also an extensive, well thoughtout children’s menu. elchiringuitoibiza.com
