Good Food

What a Show!

-

Adelicious celebration was had by all in Birmingham last month as over 100,000 food-lovers joined us at the BBC Good Food Show. Now we’re taking some time to reflect on a fabulous summer Show!

Our Big Kitchen audiences were entertained and inspired by top chefs and experts. Prue Leith joined the line-up, Ainsley Harriott returned to the Show for the first time in a decade, and Mary Berry took to the stage with gardening favourite Alan Titchmarsh. Travelsphere showed us just how much food and travel go hand-in-hand as guest chef Lotte Duncan whisked us away to the shores of the Amalfi Coast, swiftly moving this region to the top of our bucket list!

There were lots of opportunities to get hands-on as the Good Food team led some brilliant masterclasses, from sushimaking to fondant fancy decorating. Maille Mustard, with the world’s only Mustard Sommelier, shared samples in a unique tasting theatre, and Drinks Academy Live hosted sold-out sessions in unusual spirits, botanical gins and more. We were well and truly in the spirit of summer!

There were plenty of lunch options, including a Michelin-style menu at the exclusive Lexus Lunch Club with dishes inspired by Tom Kerridge, Michel Roux Jr, Tommy Banks and Emily Roux. Fine dining moved from day to night with two exclusive Chefs’ Supper Clubs. Michel Roux Jr cooked at the beautiful Hampton Manor Hotel and Tom Kerridge joined local chef Glynn Purnell at Birmingham’s Purnell’s. Keep an eye out for more information about these exclusive events.

We can’t wait to do it all again this winter and hope that you can join us.
