Celebrity Masterchef specials, where eight celebrities aim to impress Gregg Wallace and John Torode. The ultimate cooking
competition, The Great British Menu, also returns with a heart-warming seven-part series to honour Britain’s key workers.
Andi Oliver is in charge, along with new judge comedian Kerry Godliman, Matthew Fort and Oliver Peyton, who will pick a six-course menu devised by previous winners. The banquet will then be delivered to groups of key workers in di erent locations around the country.
Nadiya Hussain is back on BBC One with a two-part documentary series, Nadiya’s American Melting Pot, exploring how generations of migrants have changed the nation’s eating culture. For even more food and drink inspiration, don’t miss Saturday Kitchen. Matt Tebbutt’s guests this month include astronaut Tim Peake and TV games guru Richard Osman. Watch them all on BBC iplayer.
RADIO HIGHLIGHTS
As the nation tackles the post-christmas washing-up, author and restaurant critic Grace Dent takes a nostalgic look back at Christmas food on BBC Radio 2. Grace will be joined by special guests, as well as providing the perfect pre-pudding playlist. Grace Dent’s Festive Feast is on Christmas Day from 5 7pm.
Over on BBC Radio 4, The Food Programme’s Dan Saladino talks about the golden age of chocolate bars on 6 December.
