Swathes of cool grey stone and bespoke pieces elevate this polished space to dressing- room status.

BATHING BEAUTY DESIGNER ALEX HOPKINS “The restoration and extension of this heritage, Tudor-style home was an exercise in modernisation and contemporary conveniences. In the main bathroom the vanity was custom designed as furniture-inspired joinery rather than builtin cabinetry. This approach likens the bathroom to a dressing room and an extension of the bedroom, rather than a separate zone unto itself. The finishes palette of brushed chrome, terrazzo and natural stone complement the rest of the home. The outlook takes in the bushland surrounds and, with the Tudor-style windows open, this unique aspect elevates the ritual of bathing. The bespoke approach to the vanity mirror adds a point of difference to this special space, enhancing the sense of escape and indulgence.” studiotate.com.au
