Aus­tralia’s up-and-com­ing and es­tab­lished de­sign afi­ciona­dos shared the lime­light at the Belle Coco Repub­lic In­te­rior De­sign Awards. 2018

28 AT THE EIGHTH AN­NUAL BELLE COCO REPUB­LIC In­te­rior De­sign Awards Syd­ney-based in­te­rior de­sign firm Alexan­der & Co. scooped the pool with a trio of wins for their work on Palm Beach House and restau­rant Sean Con­nolly at Dubai Opera. To top off a fab­u­lous night the big­gest ac­co­lade of the evening, Belle Coco Repub­lic In­te­rior De­signer of the Year, was also taken out by founder of Alexan­der &Co. Jeremy Bull. Kate Nixon’s in­te­rior de­sign stu­dio, Stu­dio Kate (Busatti) won the award for Best Com­mer­cial In­te­rior for their work on book­store Hordern House. Claim­ing the prize for best bath­room de­sign was Wool­lahra House Bath­room Two by De­cus. The re­cip­i­ents of the Emerg­ing De­sign Star Award were Felic­ity Slattery and Sarah Cosentino of Stu­dio Esteta. Last year’s Emerg­ing De­sign Star win­ner Am­ber Road won Best Res­i­den­tial Kitchen De­sign for their project 1906. The award for Best Work with Colour went to the team at Arent & Pyke. And the Best Res­i­den­tial In­te­rior – Read­ers’ Choice was awarded to Greg Natale De­sign for Hamil­ton Is­land House. The de­sign crowd en­joyed a glam evening with tasty morsels from Plated, Re­gal Rogue cock­tails dis­pensed from a Zip tap and Preece wines.
