Acclaimed chefs Jean Imbert and Guillaume Brahimi distilled modern French flavours with their menu designed to match iconic beer Stella Artois during Men’s Fashion Week in Paris.
INTERNATIONALLY ACCLAIMED CHEF Jean Imbert’s Paris restaurant, L’acajou, was the venue for an intimate dinner and multi-sensory experience for a group of lucky Australian editors, buyers and VIPS during Men’s Fashion Week. In 2018 Vanity Fair named Jean in its list of the Most Influential French people in the world. Earlier this year he opened his first restaurant abroad, Encore, in New York’s Meatpacking District. For the Paris Fashion Week Stella Artois inaugural event, Jean teamed with Sydneybased French chef Guillaume Brahimi to create a menu to highlight and enhance the flavours of iconic European beer Stella Artois. The chefs absorbed the tasting notes of the popular drop, ensuring its flavours were instilled in the bespoke menu. The exclusive dinner included Guillaume’s tartare of sea bass with finger lime, caviar and smoked oyster cream and Jean’s Brittany lobster accompanied by string beans, grapefruit and Parisian sprouts glazed with Stella Artois caramel to name just two of the delicious courses served. “It’s very exciting to be working with Stella Artois again, this time in my hometown of Paris. With the influence and backdrop of Paris, Jean Imbert and I enjoyed creating the menu of traditional European classics, with a modern yet innovative flair,” said Guillaume.
