COSMETIC COVER UP
Refresh your bathroom with this quick fix.
Gather your supplies WALLART wet area panelling, joining and capping strips 900mm vanity unit New tapware
You’ll also need Old chisel; fine-toothed handsaw; recommended adhesive for panels; clear wet area silicone; straightedge
Note
Plumbing work should be done by a licensed tradesman.
Here’s how STEP 1 Use old chisel to remove tiles and glue from walls. Avoid damaging wall linings. Small holes can be covered by panels but larger holes will need to be patched. In showers, all holes must be patched and waterproofing membrane reinstated.
STEP 2 Once water is disconnected, remove old vanity.
STEP 3 Cut WALLART panel to size using a fine-toothed handsaw. Cut holes for pipes as required. Run bead of silicone down inside of joining strip and fit to edge of panel.
STEP 4 Apply adhesive to rear of panel. Press panel to wall, using a straightedge to ensure it evenly contacts the wall. Remove panel from wall and allow adhesive to become tacky. Press panel back against wall. STEP 5 Repeat Steps 3 and 4 to install all panels. Finish with capping strip over top of panels and apply silicone at junction of wall and floor. STEP 5 Install new vanity unit. Have plumber reconnect plumbing and install new tapware.
