GARDEN TIPS

• Hanging baskets dry out much faster than plants in the ground, particularly in windy weather, so choose a potting mix with waterstoring granules.

• Attach a hose wand to make watering hanging baskets easier, and eliminate the need to perch on a chair or ladder.

• Make sure the hook or hanger you are using is secure enough to take the weight of the basket – potting mix is heavier than you think, especially when wet.
