petunias pretty
Sun-loving petunias are a real crowd-pleaser, and the spreading varieties have a trailing habit, making them ideal for hanging baskets and window boxes. Give them welldrained soil with added fertiliser, don’t overwater – keep the soil moist, not wet – and liquid feed regularly during the growing period. You can find petunia hybrids with a variety of growth habits and flower types – single, double, small, large and ruffled – in a huge range of colours at your local nursery. PS, if you like your blooms on the low-maintenance end of the scale, look for a variety that doesn’t need deadheading.
