EASY STEPS TO CABINET SHELF
Gather your supplies
• 1200 x 600 x 18mm pine panel
• Timber stain
You’ll also need Tape measure; saw; drill; PVA glue; timber screws; timber filler; pu y knife; sandpaper; paintbrush; lint-free cloth
Here’s how
STEP 1 Measure your cabinet to determine size of shelf. Cut shelf top and sides from timber. Predrill 2 holes at ends of top.
STEP 2 Apply glue to one edge of sides and bu against shelf top.
STEP 3 Screw through top into sides to secure.
STEP 4 Apply timber filler to screw holes with a pu knife, let dry, then sand smooth. Clean dust.
STEP 5 Use a paintbrush to apply stain to entire shelf, then rub back with a cloth. Apply another coat if desired. Leave to dry. y
