Support those brands (see Leading the way, right) that contribute financially to the national TSA Product Stewardship Scheme, which is focused on envirofriendly ways to dispose of Australia’s end-of-life tyres. This scheme aims to boost domestic and commercial recycling and fund creation of markets for tyre-derived products. Its advantages are many – with new industries and markets come new jobs, and perhaps the best benefit of all is the transformation of a harmful waste product into a useful commodity.
