Event design specialist Grand Hyatt Macau continues to excel with extraordinary experiences at unique venues

-

Within Macau’s glittering array of hotels and resorts, Grand Hyatt Macau stands as a front-runner for its exceptional events offering. From elaborately themed banquets to pool parties, any event can be catered for with tailored menus, dynamic entertainment options and the latest, customisable events technology.

Boasting more than 8,000 sqm of event space, the hotel has two pillarless ballrooms and eight conference and meeting “salons”, which can be set up in a living-room format with plush armchairs and sofas for casual meetings. Meanwhile, the Salão do Teatro’s open kitchen concept can offer culinary performances from as many as 20 chefs, featuring interactive video technology and theatre lighting. Informal events can take place at the hotel’s Pool Deck – a popular option for canapés and cocktails at one of Macau’s largest outdoor event venues.

The hotel features an inventive selection of event themes, including 1930s Shanghai complete with theatrical lighting and art deco décor; modern Chinese set-ups featuring backlit oriental screens and fashionable tableware; and the Opulence Ball theme’s conjuring of “La Belle Epoque”.

Overlooking the hotel’s swimming pool and gardens, Grand Hyatt Macau’s outdoor marquee is an opulent setting for an event, featuring all-round glass windows and full air-conditioning. Traditional chandeliers and antique art add lustre to the setting, which can accommodate 120 guests for banquets and be arranged in an attractive Portuguese-style set-up.

Lounge-style set-ups are a popular current trend, offering event concepts that facilitate discussion and creativity. Informal seating options coupled with “dai pai dong” snack breaks can also be arranged for groups looking for local flavour.

Grand Hyatt Macau is one of the few properties in Asia to have its own events app – an important element in facilitating productive meetings. The fully customisable app is a onestop product through which delegates can log in to events to access agendas or event information such as speaker or exhibitor profiles, detailed venue floor plans, etc. Networking and information sharing is also facilitated through the app’s Media Centre.

Macau’s entertainment is a key draw for planners keen on wowing their groups. Nestled within the City of Dreams complex, Grand Hyatt Macau is an ideal host for theatregoers visiting shows such as The House of Dancing Water.

“We are passionate about curating extraordinary experiences and memorable journeys for our business and leisure guests,” says Paul Kwok, General Manager of Grand Hyatt Macau.
