The Cityview forges ahead in its quest to champion environmental practices, with a brand-new “living wall” and a host of prestigious awards

The ecofriendly feature is part of the hotel’s complete lobby revamp, which now uses natural green as the key colour tone and a simple décor theme.

Behind the large, plant-mounted wall is the new lobby parlour, a cosy garden environment with comfortable curved rattan sofas for travellers to meet and share their tales.

The green theme is a perfect celebration of the hotel’s recent accolades. After a five-year quest to become a leader in pioneering environmental and sustainable practices, The Cityview has become the first independent hotel in Hong Kong to win the prestigious Earth Check Gold Certificate.

In addition, the hotel also earned the ISO 50001:2011 standard for Energy Management System, and won the Silver Award at the 2015 Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence.
