MEET THE NEW GRAND HYATT HONG KONG

Karming Lai explains why the recently renovated Grand Hyatt Hong Kong is the number one choice for MICE events

-

Q: What do you think of Grand Hyatt Hong Kong’s renovation?

A:

In September 2016, CLSA hosted its annual Investors’ Forum at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong for the 23rd year running, so we have practically grown up with this hotel. The revamped design is not only stunning, but is also practical for guests. Q: How did the newly renovated suites enhance your event?

A:

We love that even within the same category of suites, there are different designs to suit different guests’ personalities. It’s the mark of a true MICE hotel that every spot can be turned into an event venue and these new suites are perfect for everything from private conversations between top executives, to exclusive lunch/dinner events and small media interviews. Q: What is your favourite thing about the new look?

A:

My personal favourite is the revamped Grand Club Lounge. It’s changed from being just a place where you have breakfast and drinks, to a well-thought-out artsy lounge with social spaces. It’s also extremely versatile, with different corners set up for different purposes. Q: Aside from the renovation, why did you choose Grand Hyatt Hong Kong?

A:

It’s a well-known fact that Grand Hyatt Hong Kong has a variety of choices in terms of venues, and the different styles cater to the needs of different events. The Grand Ballroom is the grande dame of glitzy events, but even the smaller, lesserknown venues such as The Patio are totally unique in Hong Kong. But what really sets the hotel apart is that the team genuinely cares and goes the extra mile to provide outstanding service; it’s one thing to have new décor, but it takes years of experience and training to have a team that delivers caring and thoughtful service every hour throughout a week-long event. Another bonus is the focus on green initiatives, for example, Grand Hyatt Hong Kong collaborates with Foodlink to take care of leftover food from events and their restaurants, and also uses sustainable seafood. This is very much aligned with our company’s ethos, as CLSA is committed to community outreach programmes and is very environmentally conscious. www.hongkong.grand.hyatt.com
