“inside its weather-proofed magnesium alloy body, the A99

Mark II has a high resolution, 42.4 MP ‘Exmor R’ full-35mm size BSI-type CMOS sensor with Sony’s powerful ‘Bionz X’ processor. This enables continuous shooting at up to 12 fps (with full AF/AE adjustment) and UHD 4K video recording with a full pixel read-out (i.e. no pixel binning) in the XAVC S format at 100 Mbps. A new hybrid AF system combines a 79-points dedicated sensor with 399-points on the imaging sensor to give impressively fast and accurate subject tracking. Also commendable is the camera’s five-axis image stabilisation, selection of quick and slow movie recording speeds, 16-bit image processing and customisable front multi-controller.”
