Wairo Beach Holiday Park

-

Where Lake Tabourie, New South Wales

This holiday park invites families to step back in time with its Old Wairo Town theme park, just 10 minutes from Ulladulla on the NSW South Coast. Little historians will love stepping into this real-life Wild West, with old-country-town vibes reaching all the way to the pub and general store.

In keeping with the theme, 12 spacious cabins look rugged on the outside, but belie their comfortable interiors, with air conditioning, kitchens and a special kids’ room that’ll have them racing to bags top bunk.

Tennis courts, a kangaroo jumper, games room offering arts and crafts and a mini-golf course are a few of the fun pastimes that await families headed here. There is a resort-style swimming pool, too, though we expect you’ll be making the easy 150-metre trek to the sand and surf instead. In the evenings, be sure to catch a movie night after cooking up a storm on one of the barbecues.

When you’re ready to step back out into the modern day, there’s plenty of great attractions on your doorstep. Surrounded by parklands, take the opportunity to go on a nature walk before checking out a number of top fishing and whale-watching spots nearby, as well as the Ulladulla Wharf Markets.

Sleep In addition to the cabins varying in size and cost, there are powered sites available, some of which are ensuite.

Do Explore the Coomee Nulunga Cultural Trail, which imitates the contours of Aboriginal Dreamtime creator, the Rainbow Serpent, as it leads you to the beach.
