Coffee in an instant... without being instant

Nothing beats the fun of exploring the great outdoors and camping with the family in tow: getting off grid, cooking over a campfire and sleeping under the stars. However, if your morning normally starts with a good coffee, and there’s no coffee shop in sight, your enthusiasm for the day might begin to go downhill... in an instant. But it doesn’t have to be that way.

If you can access boiling water, great espresso can be on hand quick as a flash, thanks to the Wacaco Minipresso NS.

Weighing in at just 350 grams and just 175 millimetres high, the Minipresso NS takes up little room, yet packs a hefty caffeine punch to kickstart your day. Sturdy for its size and weight and protected by its own mini carrying pouch for storing, it’s easy to use and easy to clean, even on the road.

With just four simple parts, and no power required, the Minipresso NS is easy to use. Simply unclip the cup, unscrew the pod chamber and pop in the pod of your choice, screwing the chamber back on tightly to pierce the pod. Then pour boiling water into the chamber at the other end, unlock the piston by turning the dial anti-clockwise, and give yourself a mini-workout as you pump the espresso into the cup below. The pumping action creates the perfect pressure to create a heart-starting espresso. For a double hit, add another capsule, or for a longer brew, add more water. Larger water tanks are also available so you can enjoy your coffee your way. And my tip? Ensure your coffee is at its hottest: pump through a little boiled water before adding your pod to warm the chambers.
