Daventry (UK)
Although the Puma Racing was closely related to Pumas which came from Cologne, the 500-off 153 bhp Racing version was assembled for Ford by Tickford in 2000. Tickford chose an industrial unit in Daventry — close to, but not within, the Spare Parts centre. Tickford was the descendant of the company which had already built Sierra RS500s and refurbished most RS200s. Manufacture began with the arrival of standard cars from Cologne, followed by a comprehensive conversion. The Daventry site was disposed of when this short contract was completed.
