I took that as a sign to install a 2-litre BlackTop Zetec along with Toyota 45 mm individual throttle bodies. I have also upgraded to ARP rod bolts and an aftermarket management system called the Dicktator.

”I’ve installed bigger Sierra brakes wrapped around Ford 15 inch Ronal mag rims and polybushes all round. There are a few more things to be done and it should be on the road very soon, which I cant wait for!”

Conrad bought this Mk3 XR3 as a solid project with a blown engine — perfect for a Zetec transplant. Superbly-named Dicktator ECU controls the fuel and spark.

Sierra discs and callipers now hide behind the Ronals.

2-litre Zetec will be fed by Toyota throttle bodies.
