Classic Ford - - MAILBOX -

I just wanted to know if the Clas­sic Ford team had con­sid­ered any projects for TV. I can’t help but no­tice a dis­tinct lack of Fords on any of the motoring restora­tion-type pro­grammes (Wheeler Deal­ers and so on). Ev­ery other sort of ma­chine has been done to death bar the Blue Oval.

I just think there is a huge op­por­tu­nity go­ing beg­ging. I am 90 per cent through a 1982 Sierra Ghia on a very small bud­get. Mostly done my­self as a steep learn­ing curve into car restora­tion. It’s never go­ing to be a show win­ner but it’s pre­sentable enough. It might be an ex­am­ple that not all restora­tions need to be a bank-breaker. An­drew Lin­coln Email

Ac­tu­ally, we think clas­sic Fords have fea­tured pretty well on resto shows in re­cent years, though typ­i­cally they’ve al­most all been Es­corts. As for us ap­pear­ing on TV, you know how the say­ing goes: ‘You’ve got a face for ra­dio’...
