MADE FOR TV?
I just wanted to know if the Classic Ford team had considered any projects for TV. I can’t help but notice a distinct lack of Fords on any of the motoring restoration-type programmes (Wheeler Dealers and so on). Every other sort of machine has been done to death bar the Blue Oval.
I just think there is a huge opportunity going begging. I am 90 per cent through a 1982 Sierra Ghia on a very small budget. Mostly done myself as a steep learning curve into car restoration. It’s never going to be a show winner but it’s presentable enough. It might be an example that not all restorations need to be a bank-breaker. Andrew Lincoln Email
Actually, we think classic Fords have featured pretty well on resto shows in recent years, though typically they’ve almost all been Escorts. As for us appearing on TV, you know how the saying goes: ‘You’ve got a face for radio’...
