Cake

-

This may not be the right place to ask, but I wondered if you would be able to help me.

I am trying desperately to make my husband a Mk1 Escort cake for his 30th birthday. He is hoping to restore his 1973 Escort this year after 10 years due to life happening... buying our first house, getting married, buying and renovating our second house... oh, and now a baby! I think it’s time for his car.

Any ideas where I might find a cake mould?

I believed you featured our wedding car an orange Mk1 Capri a couple of years back. Susan Purton Email

As far as we know, no-one currently makes a mould in the shape of a Mk1 Escort. But, you can buy plastic bodyshells for radio control cars from the likes of Kamtec in the shape of one - in 1:10th scale. Assuming it’s big enough, could one be adapted?
