Europe’s biggest all-Ford festival is back at Silverston­e Circuit on Sunday, August 4! Here are 10 reasons why it’s not to be missed.

1. Fast Ford displays

Packed full of past present, and future magazine feature cars, the Fast Ford stand will play host to some of the most impressive Blue Ovals on display throughout the entire show. With fast Fords of all ages on show, make sure you take time to wander round this amazing collection of Dagenham’s finest, as well as a selection of the coolest feature car stars!

2. The track time

Once again Ford Fair gives you the chance to take on the twists and turns of the British home of motorsport — Silverston­e Circuit. Track sessions will be running all day so there is plenty of time to take to the track and test you and your Ford’s ability. If flying round the track isn’t for you there are viewing areas situated right around the track to soak up the action. As well as the public track sessions there will also be the Classic Ford session, and even some of the UK’s fastest Fords on track. With a packed timetable anyone can get out on the Tarmac throughout the day.

3. Show & Shine

The Show & Shine competitio­n sponsored by Auto Finesse brings together the best examples of the UK’s Fords, with everything from detailed restoratio­ns through to a modified marvels battling it out on the day to be crowned the Show & Shine Champion.

4. Europe’s Fastest Fords

Invited as special guests by the Fast Ford magazine team, these very special Blue Ovals are, quite simply, some of the fastest Fords you’ll find anywhere in the UK! They’ll be strutting their stuff around the Silverston­e circuit in their very own track sessions at Midday and 3 pm. And when they’re not, you’ll be able to get up close and personal with these amazing machines on the Fast Ford stand.

5. Camping

Why not make a weekend out of Ford Fair and camp over? Ford Fair camping is located at Whittlebur­y Park Golf & Country Club, situated next to Silverston­e with private paths into the circuit. Whittlebur­y Park provides a fully licensed bar and restaurant, showers and hairdryers and sockets. There will also be live entertainm­ent, which will be confirmed nearer the time, and it is sure to get every member of the family on their feet. Campers can arrive from 12 pm on the Saturday, August 3, to set up camp.The last entry for camping is at 10 pm. Book your tickets at www.fordfair.co.uk.

6. Special Display

You don’t have to be part of a club to display your pride and joy at FordFair, our Special Display pass gives you the chance to show off your vehicle in a specially designated area at the show. A Special Display add-on costs just £2 on top of your ticket and, as well as enabling you to display your blue-oval beauty at Europe’s biggest and best Ford show, gives you early entry too. If you want to display, just buy a ticket and select ‘Special Display vehicle pass’ before you check out. See you there!

7. Retail Village

Looking for a part?Then look no further than Ford Fair’s busy Retail Village! Sandwiched between the Drag Strip action and 1000s of club cars, the Retail Village is packed with everything and anything you could need for your car, including Ford car parts, accessorie­s, second-hand parts, clothing and much more.

8. The clubs

With an estimated 4000 club cars on display, Ford Fair is undoubtedl­y the biggest gathering of Fords anywhere in the UK! Clubs always have and always will be the beating heart of Ford Fair and without them the show wouldn’t be half of what it is today.You can expect to see a sea of Fords with literally hundreds of different clubs on show at Ford Fair, including various model-specific clubs, regional and national branches. Not forgetting the huge forum and online group gatherings all taking place in one incredible venue. Make sure you take plenty of time out of your day to wander around the different displays and gaze at the marvellous Blue Ovals on show.

9. Tyre Challenge

Fancy yourself as an F1 pit lane mechanic? Reckon you can change a wheel as quick as those mechanics? This year we to find out who can change a wheel the quickest.The challenge is simple… change a wheel in the quickest time possible, all of the equipment you’ll need to complete the task will be on hand - from an airgun to loosen off the bolts to axle stands to hold the car up, everything will be in place for you to take on the challenge. The winner will be announced at the end of the day.To enter into this exciting challenge, all you need to do is visit theTyre Challenge area and sign yourself up. It’s completely free and it’s as simple as that!

10. Classic Ford Zone

Ford Fair is for Blue Ovals of all ages, but there is a dedicated area celebratin­g all things classic Ford. Here you will find a host of classic Ford car clubs and an array of classics on display, so there is sure to be something for everyone. With everything from angry Anglias to zany Zephrys, from concours Cortinas to feisty Fiestas, the cars on show never fail to impress. Plus, Classic Ford magazine will be offering all sorts of goodies from stickers to subscripti­ons. If you love your classics, this is the place to be and we can’t wait to see you there!
