RESTORATION

-

Panel repair sections were cut and shaped by Nicholas, then welded into place. The bottom of the A-pillars and both inner and outer sills were very rotten. The wheelarches and lower rear corners were suffering from corrosion. The lower par t of the rear panel was rotten and had to be replaced.

Nicholas was keen to ensure that the restored underside was finished in white. Respraying a car at home is never easy – but this Gazelle’s owner managed it. The original white (with red side stripes) colour scheme was a must for Nicholas. The build-up was well under way here, and shows the car was starting to take shape.
