Just a quick one: how do you tell a Spekebuilt TR7 from a later Canley built example? Do the originals have the famous Tartan seat trim. And just how bad were the Speke cars?
Not that easy! Production moved from Speke to Canley in 1978 and the car gained tartan trim in Spring 1977. Most (but not early) Canley built cars have the five speed gearbox, the double bump bonnet and the TR7 bonnet motif replaced by the Triumph laurel decal.
