Classics World

Welcome back!

- SIMONGOLDSWORTHY Editor Email classics.ed@kelsey.co.uk

The eight weeks since our last issue seem to have been an age, but hopefully you’ll think the time has been well spent because we have a packed issue for you. As before, we’ve tried to make it a pandemic-free zone as much as possible, wallowing in nostalgia for the cars we love rather than adding to the daily bombardment of coronavirus-related news – and I do use the word ‘news’ very loosely.

Oddly enough though, this editorial column is one place where I can’t avoid the subject as there are a few things to which I would like to draw your attention. The first of those is that it is now perfectly possible to follow all the rules and guidelines for preventing the spread of disease and still carry out photoshoots in safety – the VW Golf pictured at the top of this page (a local car to me) was my first shoot in two months, and boy did it feel good to be out and about once again! So if you have a car that you would like featured in a future issue and are not confined to barracks, drop me a line and we can chat through the options to see if we can legally and responsibly arrange a photoshoot in your local area.

The other thing I want to mention is that Kelsey Media, publishers of Classics magazine, have been coming up with some superb offers to ensure that readers who may have trouble finding copies of the magazine in shops don’t miss out, and also that they are not financially penalised in the process. Some of these I touched upon last issue, but you can now order single issues and only pay the cover price while also getting free delivery to your door in the UK (or delivery abroad for just an additional £1). To take advantage of this offer, click to shop.kelsey.co.uk/cmt, scroll down the subscriptions page and at the bottom you’ll find a ‘ Click here for single issues’ link. You can also order single issues via telephone on 01959 543 747.

Obviously we hope that once you have tried the magazine, you will want to stick around for more and so there are also some cracking subscription deals. These start with a special pandemic offer of three issues for £9.99 with no ongoing commitment – check that one out at shop.kelsey.co.uk/ promotion/kp1 – or six issues for £18 when you sign up by direct debit at shop. kelsey.co.uk/cmt. Again these prices are for UK delivery only so our apologies to those readers who are based abroad, but we also have some great worldwide subscription offers for you guys on the website.

I do hope you will excuse me for using this issue’s Editorial column for a blatant sales pitch, but these are unusual times and it is soul-destroying to pour heart and soul into a magazine only to find that people are unable to read it. However, I will close with a plug for Kelsey’ s website atwww. classics world. co.uk, where you can find a superb and ever-changing selection of classic content – and that won’t cost you a penny!
