33 multisampled instruments for Live, Logic and Kontakt, built on 870MB of recordings (660 samples) of Ensoniq’s classic 80s analogue/digital hybrid synth, the ESQ-1. The sounds are generally representative of the ESQ-1 as a whole, and there’s much fun to be had playing around with Esqone’s bright, punchy basses, leads, plucks, pads and keys. As with all recent Puremagnetik releases, the presetspecific macros of the Live version trump the Kontakt instruments’ fixed scripting and Logic’s Smart Controls, but all are well worth the price. www.puremagnetik.com
