WOULDN’T JUNO IT? Ever wanted to have a nose around Roland’s archive of classic electronic music gear? The company have a private museum in Japan that’s full of it, but now we can all step inside thanks to a 360 degree video and Google Street View. bit.ly/RolandMuse­um

TASTIER PI We’ve never really thought of the Raspberry Pi as a music-making machine, but maybe we were wrong. Not only have Tracktion announced that Waveform, their new DAW, will work on it, but Pisound, a dedicated Raspberry Pi audio/MIDI interface, was recently funded via Indiegogo.

SLIDE GUITAR (AND SYNTHS) EDM producers can get a negative press, so it was refreshing to see a video of Calvin Harris recording the guitar and keyboard parts for his recent single Slide. It was nothing spectacula­r, but it was nice to see him demonstrat­ing that he’s a songwriter and a musician.

DIVIDE CONQUERS Because of the way streams are counted, Ed Sheeran recently dominated almost the entire Top pTen Ten when his new album was released. Various solutions have been suggested to make the system fairer; ours would be to ban Sheeran from the charts completely.

SPOTIFY NOT SO FREE? Speaking of streaming, it’s been reported that, in future, Spotify plan to restrict some of the music on their service to paying members only. This won’t please users of their free offering, but if it means more money for artists, maybe it’s not such a bad thing.

FINAL VOYAGER Moog said goodbye to the he Minimoog Voyager XL last ast month, as they announced that production of the instrument would cease. The standard Voyager was the last instrument that Bob Moog designed from start to finish.
