Airwindows overload!

The erstwhile developer behind Airwindows has been busy since last we looked…

-

Airwindows began deluging us in freebies in January and haven’t let up since. Now that the barrage has subsided (a bit!), though, we’re astonished to see that the number of gratis offerings from Chris Johnson since our last look-in totals a staggering 18! In three months! Who’d want to download that many? Why, we would, of course, and we’ve compiled a list of those that stand out from the madding crowd.

Last month saw the launch of three of the most interesting entries: Desk, TubeDesk, and TransDesk, all of which add subtle analogue colouring to your tracks.

Point is billed as an Explosive Transient Redesigner. It’s actually been around as an Audio Unit for some time, but now you can get it as a cross-platform VST, too.

Like the Desk trio, Tremolo is relatively straightforward, imparting a “tubey tremolo” to your tracks.

There have been no less than nine Airwindows dither plugins released, including VinylDither, TapeDither and the not-so-appropriately-named Not Just Another Dither/CD.

Clearly, this guy puts in the hours, so do the right thing by him and sling him a few bucks via Patreon. He obviously has a serious caffeine habit to support!
