XILS-LAB STIX CM
Get to grips with this unmissable drum machine
StiX CM is Computer Music’s exclusive edition of XILS-lab’s superb StiX sequencing drum synth. Bringing virtual analogue synthesis and sample playback together in its powerful three-oscillator architecture, it enables you to construct and edit drum kits of up to ten Drum Pads, then program beats and grooves with them using its onboard pattern sequencer. Basic mixing functionality is also provided, as are a trio of send effects and distortion insert effects on all ten channels. It’s a giant professional drum machine, and we couldn’t be more chuffed to add it to the Plugins collection! While the full StiX package lets you get hands-on with the individual oscillators, StiX CM only enables adjustment of their ‘top-level’ parameters. However, the full smorgasbord of Drum Presets is included – kicks, snares, hats, claps, toms, percussion, etc – and you’re free to mix and match them between the ten Drum Pads as you see fit. The sequencer is also fully functional, complete with Multi, Beat and Single Lane Edit modes for programming all ten Pads together, dividing beats down per pad, and applying per-step modulation and sound shaping to individual Pads. There’s loads to discover, and even more to get to grips with!
