21:13 To keep the track rolling, Ben and Jon add another classic drum machine sound, this time a TR-909 ride. “It just gives it that extra drive, something else extra coming in the track, building it up – it just keeps the groove going,” Ben enthuses. “We use a lot of 909 and 808 sounds” reaffirms Jon. “I don’t think you really need to differ from that too much, as you can tweak them, you can tune them and make them sound right for you in Maschine; or if you’re lucky enough to have the real 909 or 808, even better! A lot of the samples that we use in Maschine we’ve got from the Roland TR-8 – we’ve sampled out loads of tones from it and we’ve just got a bank now. It’s just a bit easier than getting it to sync with Logic, which is a nightmare.”
