Glitchy ambient is the setting for Mode’s latest construction kit collection. 15 projects between them contain 162 four-bar loops, supplemented by 139 synth tails (appreciated, but feeling a bit like filler), 64 drum one-shots and 127 MIDI loops. The tracks are sublime – full of grit, crackle and wistfulness, with a good spread of tempi and energy levels – and their constituent elements are beautifully crafted and all thoroughly usable in their own right; while the one-shots and MIDI files are equally bankable.
