SOLID STATE LOGIC LMC-1

Computer Music - - News -

A classic in every sense, the LMC-1 represented a watershed moment in the world of plugins, as its release signified that the big boys were indeed taking the world of desktop production very seriously indeed. LMC-1 is a clone of the Listen Mic Compressor found on Solid State Logic’s legendary E-Series mixing consoles. Never meant for recording, it nevertheless became a favourite among producers for its ability to track the live room, most famously called upon as the source for the infamous gated reverb sounds of the 80s. Provided free by Solid State Logic themselves, it was – and is – an instant entry to a legendary sound. www.solidstatelogic.co.jp
