AUDIFIED TONESPOT CM
This month, we have a fabulous plugin giveaway that promises to make your music shine. Here’s how…
How to install and use the plugin that ‘makes computer music better’!
Audified have been gradually building an impressive stable of plugins, from guitar amps and pedals to powerful multistage processors of their ‘Pro‘ series plugins. They have also developed a range of task-specific ‘Express’ plugins that are designed to deliver quality processing chains in a simple ‘point and shoot’ format. It’s these black box-style processors that inspire our latest free plugin, ToneSpot CM.
But don’t be fooled by the basic interface as the processing is handled by the same designs found in their other plugins. These include their various EQs, (Character, Shaping, Surgery), valve Saturation, Punch compressor, Smash leveller with distortion, multi effects (chorus, flanger, phaser, delay, reverb) and Finalizer. This depth means that each preset offers a tailored effect and all you need to do is load it up and set the processing amount using Input level.
Further handy options include automatic gain control on both input and output stages, a dry mix control, and adjustable synchronised time settings for modulation and delay effects when they are incorporated into the preset. And being a preset style plugin you also get a bunch of categorised instrument specific presets designed to deliver typical processing tasks.
In this tutorial we’ll run through how to get started, including downloading, installing and authorising the plugin. We’ll then show you what you can achieve with various sounds including drums, bass, piano and guitar. To make this even simpler, we’ve created a bunch of tutorial audio files that can be downloaded from filesilo.co.uk/computermusic.
