Eye-track­ing soft­ware looks for the glints of in­frared light re­flected from the user’s cornea and pupil. Match­ing this data with the known shape of the hu­man eye, the de­vice can cal­cu­late where each eye is in space, the an­gle at which the pupils are directed, and the gaze-point on the screen.
