KATE RAVILIOUS
Kate is a freelance journalist, based in York, England. Formerly an earth scientist, she realised she was too impatient for research and jumped sideways into journalism 14 years ago. Her articles have appeared in a wide range of publications including New Scientist,
The Economist, The Guardian and National Geographic online news.
ROBYN ARIANRHOD
Robyn is an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow in the School of Mathematical Sciences, Monash University. Her research fields are general relativity and history of mathematical science, for which she is also a technical reviewer for the American Mathematical Society. Her books include Einstein’s Heroes: Imagining the World through the Language of Mathematics and Young Einstein and the story of E=mc2.
CATHAL O’CONNELL
Cathal is a science writer, with a background in physics, who is based in Melbourne. He is also a researcher at St Vincent’s Hospital where he is developing technology to 3-D print body parts. Through science writing he gives voice to an inner child still obsessed with space, relativity and quantum mechanics.
JEFFREY D. PHILLIPS
An award-winning Melbourne-based illustrator, Jeffrey is known for his brand of quirky pen and ink drawings. Besides editorial work he also art directs, draws storyboards for film and TV and illustrates live at events if required. He restricts himself to two cups of coffee a day and plans his entire schedule around when and where these may be consumed for maximum effect.
